Fifth Third Bank (The Old Elyria Post Office)
Fifth Third bank is a great historic landmark for Elyria. Located on Broad street and East Avenue the bank was once Elyria's main post office. Designed by James Wetmore in the Neo Classical architectural style, this building was built in 1915 near the railroad tracks. Mail transportation eventually switched from train to trucks and a new post office was built on East Bridge Street. The old post office was saved and renovated by Fifth Third Bank.
